At Solace Bands, we care about what goes on your skin every day. That’s why we sent 10 of our products to Battelle, an independent third-party lab, for PFAS testing using EPA Method 1633.
The lab screened for 40 different PFAS compounds using LC/MS/MS analysis, one of the most widely used methods for detecting PFAS at very low levels.
What the testing found
The main takeaway: the vast majority of our tested products had no measurable PFAS detected above the lab’s reporting limit.
Across two rounds of testing:
- Most Solace Bands products had no PFAS compounds detected at levels the lab could reliably measure.
- One product, the Scrunchi Loop, showed a very low PFOS result of 1.25 ng/g, which is roughly 1.25 parts per billion.
- One additional sample showed a trace PFOS signal below the lab’s quantitation limit, meaning it was too low to reliably measure.
In plain English: the testing showed that Solace Bands products are overwhelmingly free of measurable PFAS, with only one very low quantified result found across the products tested.
Why we’re sharing the reports
PFAS testing can get technical quickly, but we don’t want customers to have to rely on vague claims or marketing language. We chose to publish the full Battelle reports so anyone can review the underlying results directly.
Our goal is simple: make comfortable, everyday bands people can feel good about wearing, and be transparent about the testing behind them.
